Speedskating Camps:
The Caroline's 2009 Bay State Speedskating Club summer camp was another great success for the skaters. Watch for other Caroline camps in future posts.
Check out the web site of Iorio Arena , Caroline's home rink. Ted Iorio, owner of the rink, is a long time supporter of speedskating in Massachusetts and continues to support athletes in their quest for the Olympics.
Off-Season Speedskating
In May 2008, Caroline completed her degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Geography at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She continues as elite athlete representative on the US Speedskating Board of Directors. You will also find her coaching in West Allis, Wisconsin, while JP continues to train for the next season.

Caroline began skating in Massachusetts at the age of two. Her parents would bring her to the Bay State Speedskating club practice at the local rink so that they did not have to leave her with a babysitter.
Caroline qualified for the 1995 Olympic Festival Team when she was 14. She began training in the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY in June 1995. Since then, she has been a three time US Jr. Champion, an 8 time World Team member, a 3 time Olympian, and US Short Track Champion in 2003 and 2004.
After a year of concentrating on school, Caroline returned to serious training in an attempt to qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympics. After skating in her third Olympics in Torino, Caroline returned to full time studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies in May 2008.
In addition to speedskating, Caroline has other interests. Caroline loves animals, especially horses, and hopes to be able to return to jumping after her skating career is over. She is a junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In her very scarce spare time, she likes to read, camp and hike. Caroline enjoys visiting New England.
